Top 10 Hyperliquid Vaults Ranked by Risk-Adjusted Return

Live data from 25+ active Hyperliquid vaults. Ranked by combined 30d and 90d performance divided by risk score. Updated weekly.

April 14, 2026 8 min read by @0xkayser ← Framework explained
TLDR: The best Hyperliquid vault isn't the one with the highest APR. It's the one that delivers the most return per unit of risk. Here are the top 10 based on live on-chain data as of April 14, 2026.

Picking a Hyperliquid vault by APR alone is a losing strategy. A vault running 97% margin utilization with 4.7x leverage might show +200% APR right now — and still lose you money next month.

Instead, we rank by risk-adjusted return: a combination of 30-day and 90-day performance normalized by our Risk Score (0-100, where lower is safer).

All data below is pulled live from Hyperliquid's on-chain API. TVL thresholds: $1M+. Return filters remove outliers above 500% (usually indicates incomplete data).

Deep Dive: Each Vault Explained

TVL
$5.94M
30d Return
+30%
90d Return
+547%
Risk
66/100

The hidden gem of Q1 2026. drkmttr has quietly 6.5x'd over 90 days with $5.94M TVL — putting it on the radar of institutional depositors. Risk score is elevated (66) due to aggressive leverage, but the consistency of returns across multiple market conditions is exceptional. Age 125 days means still relatively young — track closely.

TVL
$11.54M
30d Return
+41%
90d Return
+244%
Risk
54/100

The flagship of the Systemic Strategies lineup. $11.54M TVL makes it one of the largest user vaults on Hyperliquid. The strategy focuses on alt-long positioning with dynamic sizing. 88% margin utilization means the manager is aggressive — good for upside, dangerous in flash dumps. Excellent track record over 227 days.

TVL
$6.49M
30d Return
+90%
90d Return
+113%
Risk
57/100

Market-neutral grid trading. L/S Grids is the opposite of HyperGrowth — it plays correlation between assets through systematic long/short pairs. +90% in 30d is exceptional for a market-neutral strategy. Best option for traders who want exposure without directional risk. Live 446 days with steady trajectory.

TVL
$2.22M
30d Return
+2%
90d Return
+229%
Risk
56/100

Thesis-driven basket trade. The name tells you the strategy: long quality (HYPE, BTC), short trash. 30d return is modest, but 90d shows +229% — meaning most gains came from a single sharp move. Good if you believe in thesis cycles. Less good if you want consistent weekly returns.

TVL
$1.22M
30d Return
+16%
90d Return
+85%
Risk
37/100

The safest high-performer in the top 10. Risk score of 37 is Low tier — Martyrbit runs with conservative leverage and disciplined drawdown management. +85% in 90 days with that risk profile is a phenomenal Sharpe ratio. Best for depositors who prioritize sleep over adrenaline. 456 days of history proves the approach.

TVL
$1.84M
30d Return
+24%
90d Return
+74%
Risk
58/100

Quietly consistent. Hyperrr has been running 477 days — longer than most on this list. +291% APR signals recent acceleration, but the foundation is built on steady compounding. Mid-tier risk, mid-tier TVL, but the longevity matters more than headline numbers.

TVL
$4.07M
30d Return
+24%
90d Return
+28%
Risk
52/100

Balanced risk profile with solid TVL. 30d and 90d returns are close (+24% vs +28%) meaning the recent month has been the main contributor. Less volatility than drkmttr or Systemic HyperGrowth. Good entry point for depositors who want to participate in the Hyperliquid vault ecosystem without maximum risk.

TVL
$1.62M
30d Return
+14%
90d Return
+66%
Risk
72/100

High-risk alt beta play. BredoStrategy has the highest Risk Score in the top 10 (72). 40 open positions, 4.7x effective leverage, 97% margin utilization. The manager holds 16.7% personal stake — alignment is solid. Returns are real, but enter with awareness of tail risk. Great for traders who already have a take on HL alt cycles.

TVL
$1.05M
30d Return
+21%
90d Return
+47%
Risk
72/100

Concentrated pair trade. The name says it all — this vault is a bet that LINK outperforms XRP. 242% APR indicates recent acceleration, but the thesis is tight. Risk 72 reflects pair-trade concentration risk. Interesting if you agree with the thesis; avoid if you don't.

TVL
$9.16M
30d Return
+9%
90d Return
+31%
Risk
52/100

High TVL, moderate returns, balanced risk. Growi HF is the second-largest on this list by TVL ($9.16M). APR is currently negative (-0.4%), but 30d and 90d are both positive — meaning the short-term APR window is compressed but the medium-term trajectory is intact. 645-day track record gives it the longest history in the top 10.

How We Calculate Risk-Adjusted Return

Our formula combines 30-day and 90-day performance divided by risk:

Risk-Adjusted Return = (2 × 30d_return + 90d_return) / 3 ÷ (Risk_Score / 100)

This weights recent performance (30d) higher than medium-term (90d), because market conditions change. We then divide by Risk Score to penalize vaults that only look good due to leverage or concentration.

Risk Score itself combines:

  1. Volatility — standard deviation of daily returns
  2. Drawdown depth — worst peak-to-trough decline
  3. Liquidity — TVL and redemption terms
  4. Data quality — age and history completeness

How to Use This Ranking

  1. Don't chase #1. drkmttr's 547% 90d return is phenomenal, but past performance is not future performance. Pair with your own risk tolerance.
  2. Consider diversification. Splitting across 3-4 vaults from different tiers (conservative like Martyrbit + aggressive like drkmttr) is better than all-in on one.
  3. Watch for flow changes. Even a great vault can turn when depositors exit en masse. We track this live on VaultVision.
  4. Re-check weekly. Rankings shift. We update this post every week with fresh on-chain data.
